Position: Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
Hours: 7pm-7am, full-time 36 hrs/week, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays
Responsibilities: Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Baccalaureate required within five years if highest degree is an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Surgical care experience (ortho, gen-surg)
- ACLS certification
- At least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience (highly preferred)
