Role Overview:
Seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform general diagnostic imaging procedures independently for adult and pediatric patients, including in-house, ER, and OR settings. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting radiographic exams, and handling portable and emergency room imaging using Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream equipment. The technologist may work evenings and overnight shifts, with responsibilities extending to portable exams and occasional OR tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and ARRT registration
- Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois) or equivalent
- Preferred experience of 2+ years and CPR certification
Key Duties:
- Prepare patients and equipment, provide instructions with professionalism
- Perform radiographic exams independently, including portable and ER procedures
- Occasionally assist in the OR and handle portable exams
- Work with advanced imaging equipment in a fast-paced hospital environment
