Role: Surgical Technologist (Part-Time)
Responsibilities: Assist surgeons during procedures, ensure aseptic techniques, coordinate treatments, assist with patient care, handle specimens, maintain sterile environments, document supplies and procedures, and participate in emergency and post-operative duties. Acts as a preceptor, participates in quality control, and supports admission, discharge, and billing processes.
Qualifications & Skills: Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligibility under Pennsylvania Act 80, graduate of a Specialty Training Program, and ability to perform essential surgical duties. Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterile procedures, and teamwork are essential.
Key Duties: Preparing operating rooms, connecting clinical equipment, verifying surgical sites, maintaining supply counts, managing specimens, and ensuring safety protocols. Participates in on-call rotations and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
This role is performed in a clinical environment, emphasizing adherence to policies, standards of care, and continuous quality improvement.
