Join a dynamic medical laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, responsible for performing and reporting various analyses from multiple specimen sources.
Key duties include:
- Executing technical procedures and serving as a technical expert for instrumentation and platforms.
- Troubleshooting instrument issues and making operational decisions in the absence of senior staff.
- Participating in the evaluation, validation, and implementation of new tests, assays, and equipment, including writing procedures.
- Ensuring quality through competency assessments, proficiency testing, and maintenance, in collaboration with the Analytical Specialist.
- Assisting with inventory management, training staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Interpreting specialized tests and contributing to policy reviews and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with preferred certification in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
- At least four years of relevant experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Successful completion of competency exams and ability to work in a clinical environment.
