Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient flow and inpatient capacity management by collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient transfers and appropriate placements, adhering to policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with physicians to manage patient transfers and placements based on care needs and guidelines.
- Supervise personnel within Patient Placement and assist with onboarding new employees.
- Communicate effectively regarding capacity, occupancy trends, and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, laws, and regulations.
- Participate in policy development and serve as a role model to foster professional growth and high-quality patient care.
- Monitor bed availability, prioritize resources, and plan for elective admissions.
- Support emergency procedures and serve as an administrative representative for capacity issues.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of three years RN experience, PA RN license, and a nursing specialty training program completion. Strong leadership, communication, and resource management skills are essential.
