Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational values, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity. They partner with patients and families to set goals and provide education, maintaining system policies and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent patient care tailored to specific populations.
- Partner effectively with patients and families through communication methods like bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Ensure safe, quality care through timely documentation, teamwork, and collaboration across disciplines.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to promote best practices.
- Maintain professional development by completing required competencies, serving as a preceptor or mentor, and participating in ongoing education.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and assist in protocol development to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; instructor and provisional BLS certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills aligned with professional nursing standards.
