Role: Surgical Technologist – Main Operating Room
Responsibilities:
- Identify, obtain, and properly care for surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies based on physician requests and patient needs.
- Perform scrub responsibilities, anticipating surgeon’s needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, and irrigation during procedures.
- Ensure a safe environment and communicate effectively with patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous surgical or on-the-job experience; certification in surgical technology preferred.
Key Duties: Prepare and handle surgical tools, assist during procedures, and maintain a sterile environment while supporting the surgical team. The role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and effective communication to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
