Role: Registered Nurse in an Infusion Clinic, specializing in oncology care.
Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate patient care plans, conduct assessments, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide compassionate, individualized education on disease management, emergency care, and medication. Collaborate with healthcare staff, delegate tasks, and support professional development. Assist with technical procedures like injections, IV management, and wound care. Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practices while ensuring compliance with HIPAA. Offer psychological support and support patient self-management through community resources.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, valid Illinois RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience (preferably in oncology/infusion). Certification in OCN/ONS required or willing to obtain. Strong clinical judgment, communication, cultural competence, and teamwork skills are essential.
