Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT – Weekender
Location: Naperville, IL
Hours: 36 hours/week, night shifts on weekends with holiday requirements
Pay Range: $33.16 – $51.40/hour based on experience
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform, teach, and guide all forms of respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
Assess and treat patients across all age groups, involving family education and care planning.
Administer respiratory therapies, understand equipment, indications, and hazards.
Provide advanced respiratory care, establish airway during CPR, perform blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function testing.
Explain procedures, develop home care instructions, and participate in ongoing education.
Confer with healthcare team to optimize patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
Maintain and repair respiratory equipment, assist in department management, and follow hospital policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible, with Illinois licensure within 6 months.
Current CPR certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications within 24 months.
Knowledge of acid-base balance, blood gases, and cardiopulmonary physiology.
