Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) – General Surgery
Location: Naperville, IL
Role Overview: The Triage Nurse is responsible for patient care via inbound and outbound phone consultations, assessing caller needs, providing education, managing immediate and ongoing care, and coordinating referrals and insurance pre-authorizations. The role includes phone triage, patient education, continuous Glucose Monitor management, and room preparation.
Qualifications & Skills: Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification (AHA), preferably with Office RN and BSN. Must be a self-starter, able to handle high-stress situations, and capable of prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
Key Duties: Assess patient needs, deliver clinical advice, educate patients, manage medical devices, coordinate referrals, and maintain exam rooms. The role may require travel and flexible hours to meet operational needs.
