Position: Special Care Nursery Registered Nurse Transition Program.
Location: Elmhurst, IL.
Hours: Nights, 7 pm – 7:30 am; transition program hours are day shifts.
Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing care in a Level 2E nursery with 10 beds, following hospital policies and Illinois Nurse Practice Act. Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, delegate tasks, and collaborate as part of a team. During the 16-week training, work with a nurse preceptor and participate in dedicated education.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s required within five years if only an Associate Degree), current Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months, and minimum 1 year inpatient RN experience.
