Position: RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist supporting OB services (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum) in a full-time role.
Responsibilities: Provide clinical expertise, assess and recommend educational needs, support staff in care planning, evaluate practice outcomes, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a mentor, educator, and consultant, promoting evidence-based practices, developing policies, and fostering a culture of inquiry. Collaborate on educational programs, support nursing transition initiatives, and participate in research and professional organizations. Lead practice change, mentor staff, and advance nursing standards across the system.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.
- 5+ years clinical experience in hospital or academic setting.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Current BLS certification; neonatal resuscitation preferred or required.
- Specialty certification, with ongoing professional development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning, evidence-based practice, and team collaboration.
