Position: Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
Type: Full-Time, 36 hours/week
Hours: 7pm-7am, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays
Responsibilities: Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s required within five years if Associate Degree held
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg)
- ACLS certification
- Inpatient nursing experience (highly preferred)
