MRI Radiology Technologist – Operating Room (OR) – Days (3 x 12’s)

Role Overview:

This is a full-time position for a Senior MRI Technologist specializing in Operating Room procedures, primarily performing interventional and surgical MRI imaging. The role involves providing critical imaging support in a surgical environment using Siemens MRI machines, with no call requirements and day shift hours of 3 days per week at 12-hour shifts. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, perform independent studies, assist with regulatory compliance (ACR, JC), and lead quality assurance efforts. Mentorship and training of new staff or students are key responsibilities, along with participating in safety and process improvement initiatives under department leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associate degree or higher in a related field

Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)), MR, or equivalent

2+ years of MRI and/or OR experience (preferred)

Licenses such as ARMRIT or ARRT; additional certifications like CPR and IV Therapy are advantageous

Experience in MRI, radiology, or surgical imaging is preferred

Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and compliance knowledge

Key Duties:

Prepare patients and equipment for MRI procedures
Perform studies independently, including portable exams and on-call situations
Oversee quality assurance and regulatory compliance
Participate in safety, quality, and process improvements
Mentor new employees and students
Lead department initiatives related to patient experience and staff engagement
