Role Overview:
This position involves performing specialized technical duties in a surgical or procedural environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. The role includes assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support surgical team by handling equipment and instrumentation
- Ensure operating room safety and readiness
- Assist in setup and maintenance of surgical tools
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma (required)
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program (required)
- Experience as a Surgical Tech (minimum 1 year, preferred)
- Certification in surgical technology by The National Board of Surgical Technology or The National Center for Competency Testing (required within 90 days of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Additional Requirements:
- Certification/Licensure in surgical technology
- Experience with surgical procedures and equipment
