Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role allowing surgical technology students to gain hands-on experience in surgical areas.
This position involves working alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and performing patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with direct and indirect patient care in surgical settings
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth surgical procedures
- Support surgical staff with equipment and supply management
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within ninety days of starting
