Position: Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
Hours: Part-Time, 24hrs/week, 7pm-7am, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays
Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members, including nurses and physicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within five years if only an Associate Degree held)
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- CPR certification by the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
- Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg)
- ACLS certification
- At least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience
