Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab (Float)

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion.

Key Duties: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and develop discharge strategies. Implement therapy activities, educate patients and families, and provide follow-up and community referrals. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions adhering to departmental guidelines.

Qualifications: Must hold a degree from an accredited occupational therapy program, with licensure as an Occupational Therapist, and certification in BLS. Valid Georgia driver’s license and private vehicle insurance are required for travel.

Skills: Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, basic computer proficiency, and ability to operate a personal vehicle. Demonstrates professionalism, maintains confidentiality, and adheres to ethical practices.

Additional Responsibilities: Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and team activities. Maintain compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols, and foster a positive environment for patients and colleagues.
