Role Overview:
This position is for a full-time Medical Assistant responsible for supporting clinical operations under the guidance of physicians or licensed providers. The role involves performing clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, patient history, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and administering injections. The Medical Assistant also manages exam room preparation, stocks supplies, triages calls, and communicates test results with accurate medical terminology. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with no prior experience necessary, but preferred qualifications include up to 2 years of experience and CPR certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and stock exam rooms
- Gather patient information and vital signs
- Perform clinical skills like phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections
- Triaging calls and relaying test results to patients and providers
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification in relevant area; CPR certification preferred
- No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred
