Role Summary: This position involves performing and reporting various laboratory analyses, serving as a technical expert, troubleshooting instruments, and assisting in evaluating new products and methods. The role includes interpreting specialized tests, ensuring quality control, maintaining instrumentation, and participating in staff training.
Responsibilities: Perform technical duties at instrument or platform levels, troubleshoot technical issues, assist with implementation of new testing procedures, review and revise procedures, interpret complex tests, and support inventory management. Participate in competency assessments, quality assurance, and educational activities. Serve as a key operator and decision-maker in the absence of supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with certification or experience in clinical laboratory science is required. Prior experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, proficiency in instrumentation, and the ability to interpret specialized testing are essential. Successful completion of competency exams and participation in ongoing education are necessary.
