Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Responsibilities: Provide patient-centered care through assessment, therapy planning, ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis. Educate patients, mentor staff and students, and collaborate with healthcare teams. Promote safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices. Ensure accurate documentation, electronic order management, and adherence to policies.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum associate’s degree in respiratory therapy (bachelor’s preferred). Certifications required include NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS. 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship-building skills, and computer proficiency are essential.
