Role Overview: This position is for an Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering direct patient care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to assessments, address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, and provide patient and family education. Perform treatments, administer medications, and interpret diagnostic studies according to policies. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in evidence-based practice decisions. Mentor new staff and students, and assist in performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a nursing specialty training program. Ability to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care, coordinate patient interactions, and meet unit-specific requirements.
Work Environment & Unit Details: Typically in a hospital with private and semi-private rooms, serving patients with diverse acute and chronic conditions, including orthopedic and surgical cases. Onsite therapy services and 24/7 hospitalist coverage.
