Role Overview:
Seeking a motivated pharmacist to join a supportive, experienced team providing exceptional pharmaceutical and clinical care to diverse patients. Responsibilities include supervising workflow, managing medication therapy, evaluating orders for appropriateness, and educating staff and patients to optimize drug therapy. The role involves oversight of technicians, interns, and volunteers, participation in departmental meetings, and contributing to medication management activities such as procurement, storage, and disposal.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; supervision experience is not mandatory.
- Licenses include MO Medication Therapy Services and RPh certification.
- Strong knowledge of medication safety, patient assessment, and communication skills.
Key Duties:
- Manage medication use, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Assess, monitor, and modify medication plans based on patient needs.
- Provide drug information, staff training, and support transitions of care.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety in medication processes.
