Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes, monitor symptoms, and report concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts and maintain organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent medication errors and ensure resident safety

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience in senior care preferred

The role is vital in early detection of health changes and safeguarding resident well-being through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to regulations.
