Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.
Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance while engaging in ongoing professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, emphasizing clear communication and continuity of care.
Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Maintains a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practices.
Qualifications:
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing.
- Valid RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience in a specialized care nursery or NICU is required.
