Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role designed for surgical tech students to gain hands-on experience in surgical settings.
They work alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may assist with direct and indirect patient care under supervision from a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures and patient care as directed
- Support surgical team with necessary equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with supervising staff to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program
Certifications and Skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of starting
- No prior experience necessary
