Role & Responsibilities:
Under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, plans and implements treatment programs for patients across all ages, within an interdisciplinary framework. Supervises students, volunteers, and observers. Responsible for delivering occupational therapy services, assisting with patient care, and ensuring treatment aligns with accepted practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Requires ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations, including lifting loads up to 50 pounds, physical mobility, stamina, and adaptability to handle emergency situations. Must be able to wear protective gear and work in environments with potential exposure to infectious, contagious diseases, chemicals, and toxins. Excellent visual and hearing abilities are necessary for effective patient interaction.
Key Duties:
Develop treatment plans, collaborate with healthcare team, supervise trainees, and assist patients with daily activities and therapies. Ensure safety protocols and physical requirements are met, and adapt to irregular hours and physical demands of the role.
