Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an ICU setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific considerations.
- Supports a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and participating in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities; ability to work safely and effectively in alertness-required positions.
