Role Overview:
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory therapies. The role requires applying advanced clinical expertise, troubleshooting, and supporting procedures such as ECMO, ventilator support, bronchoscopies, and sleep lab services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively within the healthcare team and document patient information accurately.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, utilizing diverse learning styles.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures following established standards and guidelines.
- Support critical care activities, including mechanical ventilation, BLS, and specialized services.
- Prioritize tasks, seek continuous learning opportunities, and uphold patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Licenses and certifications including Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS).
- Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
