Respiratory Therapist (Registered/Certified)

Role: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) responsible for assessing patient respiratory needs, planning and performing treatment modalities, and ensuring optimal patient and family care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing thorough patient assessments and establishing care plans.
  • Administering therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen, and secretion management.
  • Managing mechanical ventilators and monitoring non-invasive devices.
  • Providing patient and family education on disease management.
  • Assisting with intra-hospital transport and emergency airway management.
  • Collecting arterial blood gases and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Supporting procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive line placement.
  • Serving as a shift coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program (required).
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required; provided if needed.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment and adhere to safety standards.
