Role Overview
The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support focused on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document accurately in MAR/TAR in real time
- Monitor residents’ symptoms, report adverse reactions, and support care plan updates
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
- Transcribe physician orders and observe/report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
