Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document accurately in MAR/TAR in real time and transcribe physician orders to support care plan updates
- Monitor symptoms, report adverse reactions or refusals promptly, and observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), maintain medication carts, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support resident safety by preventing medication errors and identifying health changes early
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
