Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and overseeing departmental operations within a high-volume, state-of-the-art emergency department. The role requires leading staff, ensuring quality patient care, and supporting departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops staff to meet operational objectives.
- Participates in staffing, budgeting, and responding to business changes to meet financial targets.
- Ensures delivery of patient care aligned with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans, documenting appropriately.
- Creates collaborative care plans based on patient assessments.
- Monitors staff productivity, manages scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews.
- Supports staff discipline, coaching, and professional development.
- Maintains safety standards and ensures compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN licensure.
- 2-5 years of nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
