Clinical Nurse PACU

Role Overview:

This nursing position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, focusing on recovery for neuro, transplant, orthopedic, ENT, cardiac, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and spine patients. Critical care experience is preferred. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on post-treatment management, and participation in safety, quality, and professional development activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within established standards.
  • Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Using critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations.
  • Promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Educating patients and families on managing their health and post-treatment needs.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
    • Licensure: RN license required.
    • Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
    • Critical thinking, strong communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a high-pressure environment.
