Role Overview: A physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformity. Services are provided across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and revises treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Provides patient education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Establishes and evaluates treatment programs in partnership with physicians.
- Documents evaluations, care plans, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
- Ensures adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and infection prevention policies.
- Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
- Participates in staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
- Fosters a positive, respectful environment, applying customer service principles and communication skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent.
- Effective communication, teamwork, customer-focused service, and basic computer skills.
