Role Summary: The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They utilize evidence-based nursing practices, perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes. The role emphasizes relationship-based care, cultural competence, and effective communication with patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Partner with patients and significant others to ensure their goals inform care plans, utilizing methods like bedside reports and education.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care within a collaborative team environment, promoting respectful and inclusive practices.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering professional growth and a healthy work environment.
- Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and efficient use of materials to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s nursing degree (preferable).
- Licensure as an RN (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with technology and clinical documentation.
- Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.
