Role Overview
This position involves providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, performing diagnostic tests such as EKGs and ultrasounds, assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and care plans, as well as ensuring patient safety through hourly rounding and safety protocols. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, compassionate care to create a positive patient experience while maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of an accredited training course, or relevant patient care experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- At least one year of relevant medical office or patient care experience
- Basic computer skills for charting and documentation
- Strong interpersonal, prioritization, collaboration, and following instructions skills
Key Duties
- Assist with patient care activities, including vital signs, specimen collection, and mobility support
- Support patient admissions and discharges, and implement care plans
- Maintain safety standards and provide emotional support to patients
