Job Summary: Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on various specimens, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate clinical competencies to perform and analyze laboratory tests/procedures.
- Prepare reagents, standards, and controls following prescribed protocols.
- Conduct test analyses efficiently, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Research and develop new procedures as assigned.
- Adhere to hospital, department, safety policies, and procedures.
- Utilize computer skills for laboratory and hospital information systems.
- Maintain professionalism, support continuous growth, and assist in training new staff and students.
- Contribute to teamwork, quality improvement, and department productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science preferred.
- Eligible for ASCP Certification in Medical Technology preferred.
