Role Overview: This RN position is based at a surgical center specializing in ambulatory otolaryngology and ophthalmology procedures. The role involves providing peri-anesthesia care, including pre- and post-operative patient management, education, and assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual values.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: RN license required; BLS, ACLS or PALS certifications needed.
- Experience: ICU, ED, or critical care RN experience preferred; no prior experience required for entry-level.
- Additional: PACU experience is preferred.
