Role Overview:
This position entails performing diagnostic imaging procedures in advanced modalities such as CT, on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies independently, and handles on-call, portable, and various site-specific exams.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
- Executing studies independently and in diverse situations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalent
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or CT
- Experience preferred, especially in CT, radiology, or medical imaging fields
- Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois) or ARRT, CT, MR certifications
- CPR and intravenous therapy certifications are advantageous
Key Duties:
- Ensuring proper setup for imaging procedures
- Performing diagnostic studies accurately and independently
