Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory therapies. The role requires applying advanced clinical expertise, serving as a resource to the healthcare team, and ensuring patient safety through developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effective communication, documentation, and collaborative teamwork.
- Providing education and training on respiratory treatments to patients, families, and staff.
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, troubleshooting as needed.
- Demonstrating advanced skills such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
- Seeking continuous learning and feedback, managing multiple duties effectively.
Qualifications include an Associate degree or CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and RRT, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree.
