Role Overview:
Seeking a Senior MRI Technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures in a surgical and interventional MRI environment. This full-time role involves no call responsibilities and primarily daytime shifts, working three 12-hour days per week. The technologist will handle MRI procedures on Siemens machines, support OR cases, and assist with departmental quality assurance and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures
- Perform studies independently, including portable exams and on-call situations
- Assist in regulatory compliance (ACR, JC), oversee quality assurance, and participate in process improvements
- Mentor new staff and students, supporting department initiatives and patient experience enhancements
- Support surgical environment imaging with advanced modality expertise
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MRI
- Minimum 2 years of MRI and/or OR experience; MRI experience preferred
- Licenses such as ARMRIT or ARRT, with additional certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiologic and medical imaging procedures
