Clinical Nurse – Pediatric Operating Room

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Pediatric Operating Room environment, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care according to standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans and communicate across the continuum is essential. The position requires critical assessment of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and document care plans with clear goals in collaboration with team members, patients, and families.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs holistically, considering cultural, emotional, and spiritual factors.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensure as an RN with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Experience in operating room nursing; neuro experience is a plus.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
