Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a high acuity emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication use.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients or caregivers.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific considerations.
- Works in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safe care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required), Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
