Role Overview:
This position is for a Registered Nurse on a Medical Surgical unit, providing direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on managing illnesses, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Responsibilities include developing personalized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting their values and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree minimum, Bachelor’s preferred.
- Experience in Med Surg is preferred; no prior experience required.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain alertness and work safely is essential.
