Part-Time Clinical Nurse – Orthopedics

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on post-treatment management, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Critical nursing skills are essential for evaluating physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, and ensuring safety. The role requires a Nursing RN license with a diploma/associate’s degree; a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive orthopedic nursing care across a diverse patient population with conditions like post-operative needs, sports injuries, arthritis, and trauma.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
  • Develop and document tailored care plans with interprofessional collaboration, ensuring clear communication across care continuum.
  • Assess patient needs holistically, considering emotional, cultural, and spiritual factors.
