Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides safe and accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation to residents in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Administering medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Documenting in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
- Monitoring symptoms and reporting adverse reactions or refusals promptly
- Conducting health updates and transcribing physician orders
- Observing and reporting physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintaining medication carts, completing narcotic counts, and ensuring compliance standards
The role emphasizes preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through clinical precision and regulatory adherence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
