Role: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient respiratory care.
Responsibilities: Conducts thorough patient assessments, develops care plans, performs therapeutic modalities (e.g., aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, airway management), manages mechanical ventilators, and monitors patient status with devices like pulse oximeters and blood gas analyzers.
Assists with procedures such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and invasive line placement, supports intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients, and provides age-specific education to patients and families.
Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintains patient confidentiality, and may serve as Shift Coordinator or preceptor.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from Specialty Training Program, with relevant certification. Strong communication, clinical assessment, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment are essential.
Additional Duties: Supports discharge planning, assists with emergency airway management, and contributes to a team-oriented, safe, and patient-centered care environment.
