Role Overview: A full-time Respiratory Therapist performs patient assessments, develops care plans, and collaborates with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts routine and advanced respiratory therapies, manages mechanical ventilators, provides patient and family education, assists with invasive procedures, monitors via non-invasive tools, and supports intra-hospital patient transport.
Also involved in airway management, blood gas sampling, discharge planning, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Functions as a shift coordinator after one year and mentors students and new staff.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate from a specialty training program, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Ability to float between multiple hospital locations, with availability for day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
