Seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to assist during surgeries across all ages in a full-time, clinical environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting surgeons with procedures, preparing operating rooms, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Connecting patients to equipment, managing surgical supplies, and verifying specimens.
- Participating in surgical timeout, identifying surgical sites, and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assessing wounds, applying sterile dressings, and anticipating surgeon needs intra-operatively.
- Cleansing and organizing rooms between procedures, restocking supplies, and assisting in training new staff.
- Reporting patient reactions, documenting medical information, and supporting emergency procedures.
Qualifications and skills:
- Active Surgical Technologist Certification or meeting Act 80 guidelines.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Ability to practice aseptic techniques, organize efficiently, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
